Yeah, seconded. And don't make us file a Freedom of Information Act.

“Freedom of Information?”, good information is rarely free in my experience but today gentlemen, is your lucky day! As mentioned on the Winter Recliner thread, I will be posting a new thread for the WR-II over the weekend with details and PDF’s attached.

In addition to the above mentioned “Technically, you could do this with any gathered end”, the same applies to any ½ or ¾ length UQ, it’s simply a matter of rigging. I DIY because it’s in my nature, you can get the same result without a stitch and may already own the gear to do it.

With my apologies, I did not have any intentions to hijack this thread. I’m honestly using the chair in my “Home Office”, it’s won’t fit in an office cubical so I’m not going to work anymore!

Just a cautionary note…I use the biner (soon to be the SMC Ring) to allow the hammock fabric to move freely on the folded end, this allows it to equalize under load. This also minimizes damage to the fabric; Amsteel under tension is abrasive and will wear through the hammock body over time.
    Thanks for the tip.

When I read this, the first thing that came to mind was a folding portable baby swing.

Use a frame like the baby swing with a ridge line across and a small hammock hanging from it.
