My first encounter with Hammock Gear Cuben

Ordered a 4-Season Cuben Fiber Tarp a few weeks back from Hammock Gear, yesterday it turned up in the post. Today I had a chance to set it up for the first time. My first Cuben Tarp, my first encounter with Cuben and I'm impressed.

I had to document my first encounter with this lightweight space age material, so here it is. My first encounter on film.
My scales measured this tarp under 200 grams.

I'll let the following footage tell the rest.

There's plenty of room under this tarp.

Very nice video! Makes me Green with envy, but mine is ordered, so I too will know that feeling soon.

BTW, you may want to update your details, now that you have a new tarp to show off...

Do you get the 10' or 12' ridgeline?

I don't think I would want a longer ridgeline on my Cuben Tarp.

The tarp comes with a 10' 10" ridgeline. Maybe with Hennessy Hammocks the longer ridgeline will be of great benefit. but not so with a Warbonnet Blackbird as the lines need to be in the vicinity of 30 degree angle from tree to hammock. A longer ridgeline can get in the way of my whoopie slings. Will be difficult to get a low pitch in bad weather with a 12 foot ridge line on the warbonnet blackbird hammocks, I believe the lines on the Hennessy hammocks are a lot straighter in comparison to a Warbonnet.

I know with my Superfly I've encountered this problem on numerous occasions with my whoopie slings touching the Superfly at the ends restricting my ability to get a low pitch.
