I called Gathland State Park and the bathrooms will be opened for the weekend. With our numbers you might want to have extra toilet paper at the ready!

Also, this hasn't happened often, but we had a camera stolen at a previous MAHHA. Please keep your valuables locked in your vehicle or at least out of site. Just a reminder that anyone can walk through the hang area.

FYI, I didn't pay for the alcohol permit for the pavillon and the rangers do come around and check. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly event with great kids around. Please be good examples to the youngins in language and behavior! I know, just call me Mom!

If my memory is correct...we had 80+ hangers at the 2011 spring MAHHA. I will verify that with Tim this evening. Anyone know? ZQ

We're on the sheet and I'll bring $$ for Saturday. I'm so excited, I think hercdiver (aka my hubby) may be using this to get ideas for a DIY hammock project for himself.

I have a tenter (weirdo ) who wants to join me.

My question is: will be there be room for a tent, or a tent site, or something for him in the area where we will be staying?
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good...

    Latitude918,
Yes, we'll make room. Actually there are some nice flat spaces that don't have hammock trees. Tenters and other groundlings welcome.

There is also the shelter a few yards down the trail from our hang site.

Excited to come!! But bummed it will only be for the day on Saturday. It will be nice to see some of the craziness I am getting myself into as I enter the hammock world.
