Interior Ridgeline is Wicked tight ??

    Hey Guys..

Just got a HH Explorer Deluxe ..Been playing with it today a little...

When I get in it though the interior ridgeline is Wicked tight.. Like to the point I'm afraid it's goning to snap....

I've read all of the threads on the mods to the ridgeline,, had a mini biner and a piece of 550 cord in hand, knife out,, and I just couldn't cut the line...

I feel it's probably best if I do,, because I'm really afraid of this cord snapping,, then it's just more work to find the right cord, then repair it..Maybe better just toget it over with and set it up where I can adjust the tension at will...

    Any thoughts ??

    Hi
I have a backpacker ultralight and my ridgeline is tight too. I have read that it is best not to pull the suspension line between the webbing too tight.
Try it set high on the tree and with some slack in the suspension lines.
Others may chime in and add more

Mine has been tight enough to strum like a guitar before. Just don't pull the supports so tight when you hang it...it's ok for the supports to have a bit of sag and not be perfectly horizontal. That'll help with the tightness some.

yeah, you're just setting it up too tight is all. set it up looser, as long as it doesn't sag while you're laying down it's not too loose.
