I have two kids that want to start hanging with me I am looking to buy little kids DYI gear I know its out there filling someones closet. I am hoping for donations that could turn in down the road to be donations again but would be willing to pay a reasonable price. OLooking for one hammock and suspension, and underquilt minis if they are out there. Tarps stock henesy would do I am not taking my little kids out into harsh weather its more for dew anything helps.
How much can you do yourself? It's not hard to roll your own hammocks. Your problem will be bug nets. OTOH you might luck out and get a deal on a couple of Hennessy Scouts.
I have tried to do a underquilt out of a sleeping bag but have no real access to a sewing machine. I was hoping some one had them laying arround waiting for a couple of kids. I would donate them back in couple of years then keep moving from one gen to the next. We'll se I am pushing a couple of people to let me borrow a sewing machine but doing things at their house requires a scheduale of time I dont always have.
