Excellent! I look forward to meeting you, Ramenshamen! I'll compile a list of the yes's and maybe's and repost it sometime this week hopefully!

    Can't make it.

Something else came up and I will not be attending the hang this year at the lake. So someone else will need to bring fire wood or hunt for it in the woods.
Have fun, and I will be looking for trip reports.

    The
January 6 hang earlier this year was my first night spent in a hammock -- bring plenty of blankets, a good tarp, and you should be good to go.
    what setup are you using?

I have ordered a kijaro hammock from cabelas and will get a cheap tarp, will use a foam pad and I have a cold weather down sleeping bag. Got a camper shell and matress in pickup if it gets too cold.

Really going to miss you this year, Walking Bear. I'll designate someone to wear Carhartt's in your honor! (I will never forget the firefly shuffle last year!! ).

Tunaslayer, come on out! Just have a back up plan (like your camper shell as you'd suggested), and be ready to laugh, have fun, and learn a lot from a lot of folks!

With that said...Can I get an "I'm IN" or "I'm OUT" from the folks who've noted they might attend? Would like to start firming up attendees since we're only a couple of weeks away now.

Owl & Weasel are IN. (Butterflygirl/wife is a maybe, weather dependent).

that sounds a lot like my loadout.
wear wool socks and maybe a stocking cap and you should be good to go.
9x12 poly tarp silver side down works well - noisy if it's windy, but covers everything pretty well if it's wet.

and yeah - I'm still in.
