    gear sling

    how tight can i get the gear sling to the hammock so i can put my wubbie in to it and use it as a under quilt
    if you dont know what a wubbie is it is the army rain poncho liner it is light and warm and compact i all ready bring it with me and dont want to have to make room for a UQ

    I use one as an underquilt. All you have to do is fold in half, tie the strings, run some shock cord through the grosgrain on one side, through the fold one the other, tie the two pieces together, hook it to the hammock, and presto! Cheap and easy uq good to the low 60's without any other weather protection. They are extremely common for summer use in hammocking. I even have a top quilt from one...I love em for my climate.
