If I can add one more piece of the story that I am exceedingly proud of. As I said, Dan left because he had a faulty ENO bug net. Well, these 2 17 year old girls took a tube of netting and using hair ties fashioned their own bug net that covered both of their hammocks. One end was tied with excess ridge line and the other end was secured with hair ties. They were not going to let anything ruin their camping trip.

Very inovative. Sounds like you have a DIYer in the family. I love your success story and I'm glad you had a good time.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. - E. B. White (1899 - 1985)

No, she doesn't wish to join the forum at this time. Funny thing about their innovation was that they did it so tight, that at 4:30 am when they had to answer nature's call, they had trouble undoing it. They did it, but there was some unique conversations going on.

I can truly say it was a joy sharing my love of the outdoors with my daughter. Even better that she sucked it up and wants to go again. Trying to work out a weekend before hunting season starts.
