Its possible. You can splice a length of line into the end to create a Y and then make fixed loops on the two ends. I suggest using a locked brummel to splice the length of line and to make the fixed loops you'll need to make MacDonald brummels.

How are the two fixed loops going to be used? I'm no expert but I think having load in multiple direction may not be a good idea. The area of whoopie sling failure is where the adjustable end exits the bury. To create a Y, a line of amsteel will be exiting a bury and if it is loaded at an angle from the bury (not in line with the bury) it can stretch the strands and possibly be a point of failure.

i want to use it to attach a removeable mini spreader bar on my Gt Ul. i want to make the "Y" whoopie slings so i have the triangle and whoopie all in one. do you think it would work if i put a locking whipp at the start of the burry.

As an alternative, to eliminate the line diverging on an angle from the bury, you could make 3 fixed eyes. One on the single line coming from the tree, then make two separate lines, with fixed eyes, for the two sides of the triangle. The two fixed eyes on the triangle would be inside the fixed eye on the single line. When you make the fixed eye on the single line, just make sure the other two eyes are inside it.

This certainly is not as elegant as your original proposal, but it does keep all the forces in line.
