    Tarp: Superfly vs chinook

Ok guys new to the hammock world and letme just say, so far I'm loving it. I've been keep a HH expedition in my car and stringing it up at work on lunch and catch 30 min naps. I've got two young kids at home and with an hour commute each way been luck to get 3hours of sleep so this has been amazing.

I'm looking at get a bigger tarp and one that will take me into late november or december here in michigan. Between the Superfly with doors and the chinook and thougts on which way to go and why?
    Thanks

I would go with the WB Superfly. Main reson being it has panel pulls on it to widen out the inside are. The warbonnets dimensions are 11' X 1'0" weighing 19oz. Chinnook has 5 sizes a 9'6" X 9'6" , 12' X 9'6" , 12' X 14" (those three are there three all pupose tarp sizes) they also have Sil tarps that are light weight and those are 6'7" x 9'10" , and 9'10" x 12'10". Chinooks are definaltey cheaper (which may mean less quality) but the Warbonnet is amazing, I can tell you the quality is top notch. Thats what I use and I would not trade it for anything, its my 4 season tarp. In the end its your desicion. Also Warbonnet is having a sale on tarps right now

I have the Chinook and like it a lot. I'm a novice, so take this with a grain of salt. I just ordered me a Superfly and it has to do solely with weight and size when packed. The Chinook packs BIG and I didn't really realize this until I put it in my backpack. Great tarp though and will use it as a standby.

    SuperFly fan

I have a one tarp quiver and it is the Superfly. I like it even better now that I have the 2QZQ pole mod. This is a great tarp for the $$$.

The Superfly's doors are nice to close off the ends plus the side pulls increase the interior space. IIRC the Chinook has grommets which are not as durable as the pulls on the Superfly.

Superfly here as well, been in a horrendous storm with my 7 year old and started to get wet from the ends so got up and closed them. took about 30 seconds and we were high and dry! I have a Kelty 12x12 as well and it kept my wife and 6 year old dry as well, but my superfly is half the weight.
