official Ridgerunner intro thread
hey everybody, looks like somebody found the pics early. just wanted to start this thread, if anybody has any product specific questions post them here, will be easier than me having to watch multiple threads
items are now avail on the website, we've got whole bunch of new and updated videos in the setup section, those should be up in a couple more hours
Already placed my order, but I might as well get this show on the road question-wise.
- how much do the spreader bars by themselves weigh? Are they included in the total weights listed on the website?
- What is the minimum distance between the trees needed to fit this bad boy in?
will there be a DL1.7 version?
Ordered, will ask questions later.
What are the measurements of the spreader bars, both head and foot end?
spreaders are not listed in the weight, there's a note at the bottom of the chart saying something like "spreader bars not listed in the weight, poles weigh 9.9oz.

head spreader has a 4" middle section that can be removed to shorten the spread,
distance between ends of the suspension triangles is about 14', removing the middle 4" section permanently might allow you to reduce the legs of the suspension triangle enough to get the whole thing inside a closed superfly. shortening the legs of the suspension triangle would decrease stability, but removing the 4" piece increases stability, it may be possible to do this, i've not tried it though
Whoop-Hooooo It's Like Christmas in August
Ordered a few minutes ago, can't wait to get it and try it!
Rated to 250? I'm 260 right now, I literally got off the scale and will the RR hold up for fatties like myself or do i need to lose 20 lbs?
not sure what we'll do about heavier folks, the double is currently rated to 250, this has alot to do with the size more than weight capacity. we very may well look into doing a xl version or something. let's see what the consensus from the folks at the top of the weight range are for this model.
