    100 mile wilderness Maine

One of my hiking buddies is planning to hike the 100 mile wilderness (Monson to Katahdin). He plans on leaving from PA on October 12 and returning by the 21st. He's looking for a backpacking partner. Anyone interested/available, please PM me for his cell phone number and he can make arrangements with you directly. Thanks.

If your buddy is planning to climb I Katahdin it will be difficult after October 15. The park is closed to camping after the 15th which basically means he will have to hike from the Golden Road into the park, climb to the summit, them descend and hike back out of the park, all in one day. There is also a good chance the mountain will be closed to hikers due to winter conditions.

He is not planning to do Katahdin evidently...just the 100 mile wilderness. Thanks for the info though. That would be a major concern.

Bump.....still interested in finding someone to go along with him. He's plannning to go alone but his wife would be happier if he had a partner of the two legged variety....his dog Mieke will be going too.

Bump....Mark would like to hike the 100 mile wilderness section. Is there anyone else hiking in that area the same week? His wife would be glad to know he may run into someone along the trail.
