    You know you're in a bad situation when your inflatable sleeping pad suddenly becomes a life preserver. Yikes!

    That's crazy!!! I would defiantly rather be in the hammock. Though, the question is how long would you have to stay in there until the water went away? I hope he had some beer stashed in there.

    no doubt... - Better if he had 'em in a stuff sack, throw 'em out the bottom and keep 'em cool for free!

    Guess there's a need for a new addition to the Hammockers Glossary...

    The one and only time I was able to convince my wife to camp we woke up with flood waters rising in our tent!

    nah, the problem with camping with tenters is that you've got to wade out into the water to get a decent photo...

    Kind of reminds me of Grayson Highlands last Fall.
    Can you guess how Soggy got her trailname?
    .
    So many trees, so little time...
    We follow where the Swamp Fox guides,
    His friends and merry men are we;
    And when the troop of Tarleton rides,
    We burrow in the cypress tree.
    The turfy hammock is our bed,
    Our home is in the red deer's den,
    Our roof, the tree-top overhead,
    For we are wild and hunted men.
