    Ridgerunner...and a Phoenix

Well I got the Ridgerunner in the mail today and gave it a quick set up in the back yard. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. Look for my Blackbird in the for sale section lol

Some quick stats. I'm 6'-6" tall, 215 pounds. I sleep on my back and side normally...

This is the exact lay I have been looking for in a hammock ever since I started hammocking. It is by far an away the most comfortable hammock I have been in. No calf ridge, the view out of it is amazing, the storage on both sides is genious. I tried it without a pad, with an inflatable pad, and with my Phoenix UQ...comfortable in all scenarios. For those of you wondering if the Phoenix fits...it does! I thought it fit quite well myself. I only have about 20 minutes of lay time in it so far, but I know it's my new go to hammock. My fiancee' came out to give it a try and was immediately impressed by it. She liked it a lot more than my other hammocks, and she is a critic lol

Here are a couple quick photo's of it with the Phoenix attached. I plan to do a more in depth review when I have a moment to get some video and what not.

Kudos Brandon, you killed it again man, and prove why you are at the top of the game

Congrats on your new hammock. The Phoenix looks like a perfect fit. I can't wait to get the full review

Awww...now you've gone and done it...

If the Phoenix fits like that, I am ordering one of these ASAP! Thanks for posting and the pics.

    Cheers

One of the things that would have kept me away from this hammock was having to buy only specific items to fit it. If its good with my current quilts, I'll have to give it a closer look!

In the photo it looks like you've got the UQ outboard of the saddlebags. I would think set up this way putting anything into the saddlebags would potentially push the UQ away from the hammock bottom and open up a draft. Does the Phoenix fit well inboard of the saddlebags?

Yes I saw the same thing, but haven't had a chance to put anything in there to see what happens. My guess is that it might, or might not. The Phoenix seems to be a lot wider than the Lynx. It would take some experimentation. I plan on getting the Lynx regardless, just thought it was good that I could still use my Phoenix. When I get a chance to mess with it some more I will report back

When you do, could you show pad width and insertion?

    Will do!

I laid in it again last night and I just can't get over how comfortable this hammock is. Think I might camp out tonight with it!

Thanks for the pics! I have a late model phoenix and was wondering if it would fit. Was there much modification of the UQ suspension needed?

Now because of your post I no choice but to start convince the wife to start a "I need another hammock" saving fund.
    I'd rather be outside.
