Whoopie Hook suspension with marlin spike?

Does anyone use the whoopie hook suspension, and the MSH?

I really think I want longer webbing, but love the versatility of the hook. Does anyone here combine the two?

Does the whoopie hook stop rain flow down into the hammock? I like the idea of a stopper, that functions as well as an aluminium ring on continuous loop...

I'm looking for a cost effective, light - but also versatile suspension kit, that could be changed easily, so I'm trying to get multipurpose items. I change suspension all the time, as I'm still new to this and trying to find my groove.

This is for an ENO/gathered end.

Please respond, oh mighty hammock boffins.

The whoopsie hook does act as a water break. From what you said I would suggest a whoopsie hook on a continuous loop attached to your hammock. That way you can change to whatever suspension want.
