    My tarp set up (suggestions?)

This is my current set up (I'm always changing something.) I'm really digging this set up and so I thought I would post it so that I might get some suggestions on ways to make it even better, or potential problems that I might run into. If anyone would like to see more detail on any part of it, let me know. Anyway, here it is.

Enjoyed your video. I like your set up.
You just need a little rain and wind to test everything out.

Nice setup caveman. I use a contiuous ridgeline with dutchware dutchhook and tarpflyz. and run the ridgeline over the tarp with prusiks for centering it. I might try your setup and see if its any easier.

    P.S. I love the dutchhooks

I've actually been through 2 pretty good rain storms and I (and the dog) stayed nice and dry.

I had a CRL set up before I went with this set up, but I found it hard to get it tweaked out just right (probably something I was doing wrong.) This just seems easier for me, and I can still put up my hammock w/o the tarp if I just want to lounge out back after work for a nap.

You've pretty much hit the method that I use for tarp guy out lines. I personally don't think it can be improved upon much. I use a continuous tarp ridgeline, with prussics for tarp adjustment horizontally. Your two line method works on the exact same principle.

Good work. I don't think you need to change a thing.

    Cheers

That looks good to me. Very clean/neat.
I just finished making a tarp. I have been using a foot from Dana Design Nut Tuck, it measures 8x8 and was great in summer. I think yours will give etter coverage. Who made it. What are the dimensions? Nice show.

you put prusik knots on your tarp guy lines? pretty interesting would definitely make it easier to adjust. how did you attach a prusik with just a single line at each corner?

I might be wrong on this but .. The lines look like braided mason line? I used that line for a long while . I does work very well .. One thing i did notice alot ,useing mason line ,was sliding the prusiks either way tended to heat the prusik due to friction .that weakens the knot and even breaking the line . slide it slow . nice video .
