    First post

Checking in from the Smokies in Tenn. My son introduced me to hammocking. We bought him an Eno for his birthday. Then I got an Eno but was not comfortable and returned the whole package.
Then the skies opened and I found this awesome forum which then led me to the JacksrBetter bridge hammocks. Found the wonderfulness of any position sleeping !!!!

Went on a 4300 mile trip to Cape Breton Nova Scotia on my DR650 dual sport this Summer and enjoyed hanging in the JacksrBetter. Got the $29 blue hammock from Wallmart to hang my riding gear in at night...plenty good for that duty

Just got a Surly Long Haul Trucker with racks and getting in condition for the next journey using pedal power instead of gas and pistons !!!!!!!

Really enjoying the vast amount of hammock knowledge and ideas on this forum

Welcome to HF from Georgia! You've come to the right place, there are lots of motorcycle campers and bikepackers here on the site and more hammock info then you can take in sometimes.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Welcome from Mississippi. My next purchase will be a Surly LHT. I did the Natchez Trace this summer on my Specialized Roubix road bike and slept in my hammock. Great times on a bike and in a hammock. Happy hanging.

    Hobnobber

Let me follow the fine example set forth by the even finer representative from Florida Sire Duffy and welcome you to HF.
We've done 1300-1400 miles of bikecamping over the last 18 months and have seen many many a Long Haul Trucker touring the country. Nothing wrong at all with that DR (I've got a KLR) but sometimes cruising along in 'quiet' mode has advantages. I think you've got to be proficient in repair on either two wheeled beast though
We're headed to do the C/O Towpath in a couple of weeks.
