    getting ready to diy uq

how do you determin the dimensions of the uq.
    length is pretty self explanatory...

how do you decide on width.

and if you want it to be a 20* down uq, how do you figure how much down and baffles you need.

    thanks friends

That’s a great link shug gave you. I started there, too, just about a week ago. I’ve ordered and received everything I need to make my UQ, but haven’t started cutting the fabric yet. As the article states, it’s a good idea to get some super cheap stuff first. You can cut it, sew it, dart it, whatever… no worries. I’ve got mine mocked up in muslin right now. At $ .99 a yard, it was well worth the practice run.

    Best luck!

I have always had to made two of everything, and even then the second one gets tweeked on. Your DIY gear may not look as good as store bought but it will be your most treasured.
