    Lace up TQ foot box

Is there a lace up style footbox?
I keep coming close to having an idea, but then not quite.

When you cinch the bottom to make the foot box you have a couple feet of shockcord dangling around.
If you sewed small loops onto each edge of the TQ every 2 - 4" for a total of 18-20", then you could thread the dangling shock cord thru the loops and tie the end off or maybe even attach it with a mitten hook. If you placed the loops a little in from the edge, then there would even be some overlap to keep drafts out.

Has anyone done something like this?

This might be the best idea I've ever heard.

At least in the top ten. When I get my TQ, I'm absolutely doing this.

Yep, Adam aka stormcrow from Hammock Gear has done this on a few of his TQ's. I personally do not have one but know they have been done and are out their and that he could also make them.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

...or you could use it to attach your tq to the ridgeline to keep it from falling out.
