    LOL, not commanding, surrounded by!
That is Coffee's Army, fortunately I woke just before they charged, and as always, I had my mini flamethrower (aka a Bic lighter) handy & so I was saved.

A few more tips that occurred to me last night:
1: Your insulation does NOT provide warmth, it simply keeps in what you produce, to produce heat you need to eat. See the above check list where it lists nearly hourly snacks.
2: When you get out of your insulation for long enough, it will get cold (see #1 above) a few simple exercises (Jumping jacks, run in place, etc.) can warm you up enough to get back in your insulation & warm it up also. DO NOT OVER DO IT, you want to warm up slightly, not get hot.
3: You need to stay slightly cool so as to not sweat*; if you sweat you get wet, if you get wet you will get cold. Yep, this is a repeat of hints in the original post, it bears being repeated.
4: Regarding staying dry; Even if the weather is supposed to be below freezing, BRING A RAIN COAT! Preferably one that will breath AND allow you to wear warm clothing underneath. Hint: I usually wear size Large in clothing, my rain coat is a 2X.

    * The reason that nearly every year Doctari takes of a lot of clothing.

New hangers is specifically what this hangout is great for. A safe place to learn winter camping with experienced guidance to help get all your ducks in a row.
I was so green, having never camped below 50 degrees EVER, & I survived a few upper teen nights my first year. So I'm sure you will have a good time! I ALWAYS DO!
And when you become "experienced" its still fun, swapping ideas on how to do even better, great company, great food, Great weather. One draw back I found: I waited nearly 50 years to try winter camping,,,, Yea, I am MAD at ME! So don't YOU make the same mistake I did!

It's on my calendar. Last year's weather was disappointing as the Cranberry Wilderness with WV wound up being my only true winter hang at 15*. Unless you count the Florida hang the week before Mt Rogers going down to 23*! Who would'a figured that would happen in Fl!
