I very carefully took a seam ripper and unstitched the strap with the clip on it from the bag. But I left the bag on the hammock because I like putting small things in it. A drink can be put there and I even stuffed my down vest there this past weekend so I could have it easily for when I have to get up in middle of the night.

I ditched the clip and webbing but saved the bag. I keep dog treats in mine for my dog, puddles ( daughter named her, don't ask). When she wants a treat she just bumps the bag with her nose. To me the bag comes in handy.

I use my ENO on day hikes and I like the bag to put my water bottle in while I'm relaxing in the hammock. I still have the straps but I might ditch them.

I took the strap and clip off the bag and the bag off the hammock. I put a grommet on the end and turned it into a bishop bag. I love this setup and you can still stuff things in there for storage.

I took my bag and strap off. I just like the cleaner look and not having anything pulling down on the side of my hammock.

Now I can just hook the bag to my ridgeline for storing anything I want to keep handy for emergencies.
