    Talking Newby!

Hi all! Just joined and have been kinda perusing the site. Looks really good. I ran across the reference on http://www.tothewoods.net/JeffsHikingPage.html and thought I'd come and check it out!
I have been researching backpacking and camping on the net cause I want and need to get out of the house more and have some personal time to clear my head and collect my thoughts. Being in the 'brush' is the best way and place I know to do that.
I have done some camping (I have two tents) and, to be honest, I am tired of sleeping on roots, rocks and air mattresses that will not hold air! So one day I remembered seeing one of the army's 'jungle' hammocks and the thought ocured to me that sleeping above the ground might just be a good idea! So as of right now, i am in the process of researching the proper materials and accesories to build my first ever camping hammock supreem ! So, here I am. When in Rome, ask the Romans!!!
