    Spookiest Hang?

With Halloween coming up, I started thinking.....

It may be too late for this year, but in the National Forrest close to where I live, there are several OLD graveyards - the perfect place for a spooky hang!! Maybe hit a haunted house on the way, watch a scary movie - heck - maybe even a costume contest, who knows??

Have any of you ever done anything like this? I could use some ideas, and pictures would be even better!

Tie your whoopies with a hangman's noose
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

    Let 'em r.i.p..

I prefer to allow the dead to rest in peace.

There are plenty of other places to hang---especially in a National Forest.

I guess I should clarify. We would not hang in the cemetary - that would be rude, disrespectful, etc. We would just hang in the area, just this one weekend - to set the "spooky" mood.

My son and I are camping at a Boy Scout camp this weekend to set-up a Scary Trail. There will be a Cub trail for younger kids and a Scout trail for the older kids. He and I will be hanging each weekend as set-up the trail and he works it. This is our first time so no pictures yet but will try to capture some in the coming weeks.

I loaded up the family last Sunday night and took them out to a cornfield maze that included a "ghost town". The 'town' was actually really well done; one of the best haunted house type experiences I've had in years. One of my favorite parts was when a ghoul jumped out of a hammock at us. That particular section was pirate themed, so the hammock fit right in.

Genuine Draft rolled her eyes at me when I walked up to look at the hammock while the ghoul was trying to scare me.
    Trust nobody!

    How about...

...use a bed-sheet with eye-holes cut out of it for a tarp.

...instead of dutch flyz, make dutch batz.

    ...use a jack-o-lantern for a headlamp.

...partially put your gear away in a Lazy Slug Tube... with a person still inside it (head first for extra-creepy).

...use human femurs as spreader bars for your bridge hammock.

...bring any of my children (extra-creepy points awarded if you bring all of them).

...take visitors on a tour to see the dismembered bodies of hangers whose spouses found out how much all of their gear really costs.

    ...sleep in a tent.
