    SoCal Hang d;{)

Thanks goes to Desert Reprobate (aka Bob) for the seed of this this get together in Big Bear. And thanks to all the well wishers that wanted to come but couldn't make it up the hill.
The roll call for this trip: Desert Reprobate
    Myself(Triggerhpy)
    John Sawyer(HF Mod)
    And Desert Reprobates Dad
Hammock sighting were: Warbonnet Ridge runner, Hennessy with zipper mods and a Grand Trunk hybrid.
A shout out to Troop 170 from OC for coming over for some Dutch oven chili and corn bread. They very curious about how we stayed warm at night.(30 Fri.-28 Sat. night) So we gave them the grand tour of our rigs.

And as you can see John Sawyer is a guy from San Diego and not a madam from Singapore.

Not so meany pics because we were having such a good time enjoying each others company.

Again a big thanks to those that came. And a "hope to see you" to those that didn't make it this time.

Thanks to TriggerHpy for the mountain hospitality! I was well fed (for those of you who missed his Dutch Oven Chili and Peppered Bacon Breakfast Burritos - - well.... Your loss! ) Heck, I carried most of my food home...

It was great to meet TH, Desert Reprobate, and Dad. I was surprised at the 28 degree night, as I was expecting mid-30's, but the combo of a Poncho Liner UQ and my Lost river (and warm socks) had me sleeping until nearly 7am...

Next time, TH said he'd plan it at a location that's more car than truck friendly, though that dirt road was in very good condition...

    Thanks TriggerHpy and Desert Reprobate!

Sounds like you all had a great time. I hope to make myself available for the next go-round. I'm assuming there'll be a part II some time in the future?

    Totally Jealous!

Thanks for posting, Trigger! I wish I could've been there. Please give me a shout out when you plan for the spring. Doctor says my collar bone fracture is healing nicely so I should be good to go by spring. I'm hoping to get out this weekend for my first hike in 3 months. Can't wait to do some southern California hanging soon.

So far the earliest I've found for Serrano is April 19th. Here's the link.

Glad your feeling better. So if you know any other SoCal hangers please network.

Missed this one. I'd be down to join you all on the Spring hang.
