Shug, my big question is how after working hard all summer did you get the boss' approval to go to the piney woods for a couple of days?!

Another great installment Sir! Mighty fine camp spot there. Good to see the knee came around. I get the gears from friends and family for heading out solo, but I really enjoy the solitude and most of the critters. (Would rather not come across the bears, but don't mind them from a healthy distance, so tend to make alot of noise when I hike alone ). Same as you, I try to keep a really clean camp, cook and hang food in the ol' ursack a long ways off. For me, there is an added element to knowing that I am way back in the sticks on my own, and that I have to make good decisions and get through rough scrapes by my lonesome. That being said, I always leave a good trip plan and timeline with the wife. Been thinking about picking up a Spot as the terrain I hike in lends itself to falling into or off of something.

    Cheers!

Solo is much needed for me. With dear ol' friends like Hickery it is easy to do a trip and relax as he has seen and heard all my palaver. The clown needs to just entertain himself. The woods do that for me. On this trip it was windy and listening to two trees leaning against each other squeak and moan as the wind moves them is like a symphony to my ears.

Great videos - glad you're back in the woods

Really enjoy your videos. Glad to see you back out there. I'm hoping to follow your lead very soon. Got a new burrow I need to try out. Thanks again

I'm really liking the sites on the kec and the solitude looks so peaceful. It's nice to just get out there solo and I'm happy to see that you finally made it out there. The woods have been calling ya. Also, I dig the hat.

You almost did Breakfast from the hammock. The sing song from the hammock was pretty good! LOL Five months, that’s too long! I was hoping you’d say, Kekekabic more, you say it funny like! Yes, that’s a very nice camp spot, I want one just like it! Well, I can see why your daddy didn’t let you have a bb gun! LOL Thanks for the videos so far, Mr Shug, I’m sitting here having a great time, pizza and all!
