I got a nice backpacking pack from a lady today who had used it for many, many miles on the AT. I can't wait to see if I can get most of my gear into it. It will be nice to not be in "bag lady" mode anymore!

    ATTN:

upon arriving at the park, you will drive all the way in. and park in the large parking lot.
head to the southwest corner of the parking lot. (opposite of the one you came in from)
i will be there ahead of everyone. so look for my eggshell white vw bug(old skool). there will be a sign for the primative area.

At Teebee: I am doing my best to make it. If so I will let you know. And bring the rest of your kit. Even if your hammock isnt in I am sure there is an
Extra hammock or two in my gear.

At Junebugdawn: But it's soooo much fun watching you get the load of bags out of your car. And gathering them up to load to head home.

cwbybld: It'd be sweet if you're able to make it!

There's a chance I will have an extra hammock available as well (HH Explorer)...I've offered its use to someone, but not sure if they will need it or not.

It may prove to be just as entertaining watching me try to pack everything into one pack AND lift it up AND walk!!

Barring unforeseen circumstances, I'll make a special guest appearance Tuesday evening for a little while.

My neighbor has given me permission to take some of his firewood...so I'll be bringing it Tuesday...BUT...it's not split yet & I doubt I'll have time before then...guess we (or me) can take care of it sometime Tuesday...

The BIGGER Top tarp will be making its debut at the hang. I hope it functions as I envision.
I am planning to bring the ingredients to make some stew...now if I can get a Dutch oven to cook it in.
Gladius, I noticed that the park gives a discount for SC National Guard, but doesn't have active military as an option. Do you think I should ask? The guard discount is 35%.

I'm bringing some firewood, too. We can throw the unsplit logs on an already going fire. :-)
