I know how to search, and mentioned familiarity with talc, not just between tubes and tires but on the insides of tubes slit and repurposed.

I'm also familiar with the durable adhesion of dirt to silicone sealant, which collects long after the caulking beads would seem to have fully cured. I thought that talc would create a durable white streak. Cleaning up the excess on the tarp with a damp sponge isn't a problem.

I think that if you read the label baby talc has been cornstarch for quite a while. I don't remember why but I do remember there was an issue over using the stone powder it used to be.

Google search for "oogoo". That is what I make to seal seams, and the result is not tacky.

I used some cheap talc powder. removes the tackiness and washes off anyway.
