I thought about the smaller size due to weight savings but the freedom I get from having such extra space is worth the few extra ounces. Did you get the classic entry or the Zip model? Big difference there as well. Good luck with your new gear...you'll love it.
I purchased the classic bottom entry. What is the big difference? The bottom entry sounds very neat.

Bottom entry is advantageous for buggy nights and for getting in with the tarp pitched tight to the hammock. Zip is better for using underquilts, as you can unzip, reach out and adjust the UQ without getting out of the hammock. IMO, adding a zipper to a Classic entry is the best of both worlds and is something I've done to all of my Hennessys for maximum versatility. 2QZQ does that mod professionally, they're a vendor here on the forums.

hmm, that is interesting, I guess I hadn't thought that far ahead. Depending on how well I sleep, will determine what I do for cold weather arrangements (cold as far as Florida and North GA can get )

Oh, the hammock came in yesterday.
Smells of campfire and still has some residue when it was used.

Can't wait to try it out! so excited!!!!
