    In some mysterious way woods have never
    seemed to me to be static things.
    In physical terms, I move through them;
    yet in metaphysical ones,
    they seem to move through me. -

    So sorry to hear about the homicide!! My heart always sinks on these "news stories", very scary how the dead trees seem to be so sneaky anymore

    Glad your OK and your RR

    Pics of the aftermath---and more---will come soon, but right now I have some boy-freind points to make up.

    Caveman has video too, but I don't think he has any of the "incident".

    Wow...I didn't know the Spindrift had the strength to protect you from a falling tree. That sounds like an answer we've all been looking for. I'm going to have to get one for insurance.

    On a serious note, glad you're OK.

    It's hard for me to get a good picture but here is the carnage.
    The head end of the Spindrift has a big rip.

    It is a bad pic and it is really big. Plus there are a couple of other issues .
    I just know I need to figure this whole thing out before the next hang. I am just so bummed out that I let this happen and destroyed something I waited so long to get. I have a ton of gear and way too many hammocks, but the RR and SD are my most prized pieces of gear that I have.

    Glad you made it out ok. Gear can be replaced, but a life cannot.
