    Hang Report - 2012 Fall MAHHA - Oct. 19-21, 2012

Hey everyone, Fall MAHHA was great! Big news is we had 80-plus attending the hang. So big in fact we have officially outgrown Gathland State Park. (Very similar to when we outgrew the Wise shelter for the Mt. Rogers Winter Hang. No big shakes! It happens! ) We will be starting a different thread to discuss locations for future Fall MAHHAs so I would very much like this thread to comment about what went on with this event.

I listed everyone who signed the attendance sheet at the potluck but I know I am missing people who came and went before the dinner. Please private message me if you are not on the list and I will add you to this original list here to keep all the names together for easy scanning.

I also know I've misspelled a lot of names. The pens wouldn't work and some writing I couldn't read. Again, private message me and I will correct your name or HF name. I'd really like to have a correct list for posterity.

I will post the group photo as soon as I get it! I'm soooo excited to see it!

The family and I had a wonderful time (Adia, Trixie, Bug Bite, Max (the dog)), it was once again the most fantastic time with like minded fellows.

I finally got to meet Medicine Man and Poof (you two are wonderful)..

A great big thank you to all whom donated such a huge spread of gear items, it always seems to grow (just like attendees) every year.

There were smiles and laughs, had great conversation, and the food was again spectacular.

I feel very blessed to be among such a wonderful and diverse group, can't wait till the next round....

Another epic MAHHA! Had a wonderful time (albeit shortened) with the ever expanding MAHHA family. it's always good to see the familiar faces again and to meet new faces for some familiar names here on HF. Big Thank You to the vendors and individuals for all the contributions to the raffle and of course the FOOD!. The weather really cooperated this time; it was merely gorgeous. Can't wait for the next one and another chance to hang with everybody.

Abi and I had a great time. As always, there was great conversation at the campfires, my favorite part.

Had an awesome first time experience! Enjoyed seeing the hillside filled with hammocks everywhere. I personally got some great ideas for my hammock and how to do things differently. Food was great, and people were even better! Loved every minute of it!!!!!

I am amazed at the number of participants. I'd say it is approaching epic proportions. You must be running out of trees.

Beautiful weather, great food, great company! The "house tour" was fun. Loved seeing all the variety of ideas and innovations. Our dog, Willow, had a good time, too. She is learning to be good camper.
