Red face Want to love the Bridge

I really want to love the bridge hammock. I sure like the looks of the WBRR and the saddlebags are awesome. Here is the problem: I used to own a BMBH Deluxe and I just couldn't get comfortable. I felt closed in and thought it was due to laying down inside and not being able to see out. It also seemed short to me, though I am only 5'9".
I have the Eureka Chrysalis, which I like, but seem to have trouble sleeping all night comfortably. I also own a DIY bridge made from one of Grizz's designs, which I can see out of very nicely. It is light weight and I like it, but I just can't seem to get comfortable in it. I am comfortable at first, but can't seem to sleep all night in it. I think it is because I like to stretch out when I sleep. I will raise my right leg up the side of the gathered end hammock, and stretch my arm up over me, and I seem to stretch in all directions sometimes. You cannot do this in a bridge. Does this mean the WBRR is out for me???? :
    Happy Hangin!!!

I'm in a similar place. I felt too constricted in my BMBH and am now wondering if the RR would work for me. The reality is that I sleep great in my gathered end hammocks so maybe it's low sales resistance that's my biggest challenge.

    ... but I think I want one.

Get it. Try it out. If it doesn't work for ya PIF it or secret Santa it to me! Hey ya gotta have dreams!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

I do not like bridges. Far too much shoulder squeeze for me to get comfortable.

No shoulder squeeze at all in the new Ridgerunner...

Baja, this is the reason I didn't love the new Ridgerunner. I also really enjoy the "cradled" feeling I get in gathered end hammocks, and I just couldn't get into laying in the bridge.

Bottom line when it comes to hammocks, is it comfortable? After several attempts, it might not be for you. Try not to want to like it so you can be more objective. I've found in the past that if I want to like something I start to compromise and talk myself into it.

I have both the WBRR and BMBH. If you found the BMBH too short, you will probably find the WBRR too short as well. I find length wise the BMBH actually has more room. One nice aspect of the RR is there is lots of room at the head end if you like to keep your arms stretched out my your head, not so much in the BMBH. Only thing to do is give it a try, but if your comfortable in your gathered in Id say call it good.

I've been trying to talk myself into it, but my previous experience with bridges has me worried I won't like the WBRR.
I'd love to get it and if it doesn't work, then PIF it or Secret Santa it, but funds won't allow that. So, sorry Two Tents to bust your dream bubble.
I guess I will continue to try to get used to the Chrysalis and the DIY Bridge until I can convince myself to like it and get the WBRR, or just stick to my gathered end hammocks, and give my bridges to the grandkids.
Thanks for your help folks. I know their not for everyone, but I'm trying.
    Happy Hangin!!!

I had a BMBH and i did like it a lot but sometimes I felt some shoulder squeeze and restricted with the view. In the RR I have no problems streching out and I can turn over and flop around without any issues. Every hammock can feel different to everyone that lays in it so it's just something you have to try out for yourself.
IMHO the RR is as close to perfect as it gets.
