REV's Frozen Butt Hang, Columbia SC

Hey guys, just got back from Sesqui State Park and I was rather impressed with the location and the footwork that members such as JBD and Gladius had done, so I proposed we have a winter hang in addition to the Santee Fall Sprawl.

This will give some users a chance to meet halfway, and test out some winter gear. It will be less formal than the Santee FS since I will not be doing a raffle. Too dang cold....

Myself and RCRacin will also be celebrating our birthdays at the hang, as mine is Jan 20th and his (I believe) is the 22. Ill be a whole 30!!

At this point, its looking like the last weekend in January or the first in February, depending on RC's schedule. Fees will be $10/person, and there will not be parking at the site but cars are allowed to pull in to unload gear/firewood.

Showers will be iffy, but will discuss at the site.

Since this will be a "simple" hang, lets just copy/paste names of hangers in the thread.

    1:REV
    2:RCRacin
    3:JuneBugDawn (pending hip)
    4:Cowboy
    5:AHHGladius
    6:Gresh

if youd like to come, just copy that list and add your name on the bottom along with any guests.

Reservations have NOT been made yet, but will be as soon as we get a consensus.

    Butt's freezing in SC???

Sounds like weather envy to me, but I just got a super shelter to try so I might be able to give it a try!

Sesquicentennial State Park, in Columbia. It's right off either I-20 or I-77, both run within a mile or two of the camp.

Fair warning, Rev smells like burnt eggs and grease. If you're sensitive to smells, avoid at all costs.

It pays to have an ogre at your hangs.

    I should have charged.

I'm seriously looking forward to this hang!

    REV: you're correct...my b-day is the 22nd...unfortunately, I'll be a few years older than 30...

Sesqui's primitive/group area is definitely a nice one...I was impressed!
