Impetus 1.2 vs. Sil-Nylon for Tarp

I was wondering how the two compare for waterproof properties when used for a tarp? I'm planning on making my own (and first) tarp out of one of these. Can't afford Cuben quite yet Anyone have experience they can share? Thanks!
