    Yet another from Georgia....

    Hello,

Joining the forum after rotating back here several times over the years. Have a Hennesy Asym UL? That I used for backpacking and car camping for a couple of years. Got away from the hammock due to comfort issues. The hammock was too short for me (had to stack my feet) and I was too cheap to buy proper under insulation.

Recently got into dual sport/ adventure riding on a motorcycle and exploring hammocks once again. Looking for hammocks for my larger, longer frame ( 6'6", 250 lbs) and since the bike is carrying the weight I don't have to be as picky about weight even though lightweight is important. Also have a little better income so I can afford the nicer options.

Thanks for all of the great info that I have already read on here and plan to read in the future!

Welcome from Cleveland. You should come to the group hang this weekend and check out some different setups.

Welcome from Ball Ground. If you can, grab your gear and come join with a bunch of Ga. hangers, along with some hangers from neighboring states, this week end at Raven Cliffs wilderness area, see thread on trip planning site.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Would love to make the event that weekend but it is my birthday and my girlfriend and sister are coming into town. I think they may shoot me if I take off for the weekend. Lol. Maybe next event I can make it out!
