    i don't think this insultex would work for an uq. because unlike the insultex you can get at diygearsupply this stuff claims to be very water resistent. which means it probably isn't breathable enough for an uq

    Actually if you look at the slideshow it claims to be breathable. How breathable is the question.

    Did anybody look at the Arctic Armor stuff? Never woulda thought to make clothes out of the stuff. I'm tempted to get the hood just to see.

    This is interesting. The IX that DIY Gear Supply sells is 1mm thick - the same as the house wrap. The house wrap isn't perforated, but it's easy enough to do so for better breathability. Anyone know where to by it? It's been in production for a few months now. I did a google search and found nothing.
