Would this be better than reflectix for a small pad under the lower legs/feet?

    Re

Thermarest created a similar pad a couple years ago called the ZLite-Sol with an R-value of 2.6. It's predecessor was the standard ZLite(no reflective barrier) which had an R-value of 2.2. So, if Thermarest is being honest with their ratings, the reflective barrier is worthwhile on the Wenzel pad.
