    question about triangle thingies

I've been reading a bit about them and have seen them on 1 or 2 hammocks, but I'm trying to find a bit more information about them. I understand that they are supposed to change the way the UQ hangs under the hammock, but do they help with sag? What do they really do? I've done a search, but I'm not really coming up with a good explaination (or a video would be great if someone has some time)

By my way of thinking and limited use...by changing the UQ suspension angle, they can help to seal the UQ ends. I would think they could make sag in the middle of the UQ worse because there is not as much pull lengthwise on the UQ.

This is what I think as well. The ones on my UQ are smallish and do not change the angle that much. I think secondary lines like the ones Adam has on his quilts would do a better job than triangle thingies alone.
