    TX>Texoma Cross Timbers>Dec. 29 Overnighter

Planning on doing an overnight at Cross Timbers. The plan is to get out there Saturday morning around 10 or 11, hike in a little ways (maybe 5 or 6 miles) camp, then hike out Sunday afternoon. Just let me know if anyone is interested or has any questions.

This is a great trail and there are lots of great campsites along the trail. Here's a link to a video review I did the last time I was out there.

I was planning on going in 5 or 6 miles and then heading back out. If we have 2 vehicles, we could park one at each end and do the entired trail though? I'm pretty flexible.

I'm interested, doing all 14 miles. Guess we'd go in like you suggested and camp. get up Sunday and break camp and head out to the other vehicle/side.
Let's see how the weather is (and if wife buys in.....she usually does)

Cool. I'll have my dog, but I can bring a sheet so that he doesn't get hair in the vehicle. He's very well behaved, so he won't be a bother.

The trail past the paw paw creek resort is very poorly kept and not well marked. I'm cool with doing it again, I'm just letting you know. It's totally up to you though. Let me know.

Gospidey mentioned that he might be interested as well. It should be fun.

What about if we just divide into two groups and each one starts from the other end and meets in the middle? Then we go to zip guns and switchblades.

Survivors get to choose the best cars and drive home.

    Hahaha! Good one sargevining!
Guess I'll have to subscribe to the SW subforum too! Wouldn't want to miss classics like this one.
