    Singer vs McCall machine

I've been looking for a singer but haven't found anything for a good price. Today I found a 1950's McCall machine and need some advice. Worth it or stay clear

    The machine is 75$

I suspect the McCall machine is a rebranded something. McCall was a very very trusted name in home sewing patterns during that time. They sold millions of patterns to hundreds of thousands of people. As such, I would think any machine they offered would be solid and trustworthy, assuming it was properly maintained. If you can check it out in person and give it the trial run I would suggest you do so.
