    I wonder why they lock up so early?

    I've seen 10 o'clock at other campsites but not a 8.

    That's ridiculous!

    The gates are locked around dusk basically, during summer they don't lock them till 9. There is a parking lot for the MST/FLT just outside of the park so that if people should arrive late they could park there and we could shuttle from the gate to the camp site as well. Or if they would like they could even night hike in on the trail that leads from that parking lot. Either way I'm sure we can get everyone to camp on the first night that wishes to be there Saturday morning.
