    2 in a hammock?

    Hey--
I'm a Hoosier hoping to camp in Hawaii in March with my hubby. I need advice: we are both smallish humans who want to try the Safari Deluxe Hennessy Hammock and sleep in it together. Would that be disastrous or OK?
    Thanks for any feedback.

Picture two coconuts in a wok. Wear helmets!
Seriously, there's a 90% chance you will not like it. There are rare couples who have managed this feat, but not many. So, practice this in your backyard well ahead of time because you will probably be making other plans.

i have done it with my daughter and again it was a disaster. Now for some alone time it would be fine, but as for comfort do not even attempt it unless you both sleep curled up like cannonballs hugging your knees

I would think a setup as above would be your best option... getting an oversized tarp.

You can also set 2 hammocks up using 3 trees, but it has to be the perfect 3 trees.

If you don't mind of waking up withthe circulation cut off from your extremities, then 2 in 1 hammock might work....

I wouldn't want to. Close is fine sometimes, but not in a hammock. One of you will always be sort-of laying on part of the other and/or really squeezing hips and shoulders together. Try to spoon for a while and then move on to your own hammock to sleep.

I concur with halfastronomical's suggestion. Make sure you have a wide tarp and that your camping locales have trees suitable for camping. Sounds like a fun trip!!

I am going to have to concur with everyone else. I have semi-successfully manage to sleep in a hammock with a small child, but it just does not work well with two. I have hung two hammocks close together with much greater success, even under a shared tarp and would highly recommend trying that method.
