Hello, I am a whiteblazer here for the first time.
I built a Risk style hammock last year, and have a KickAss underquilt. I have not tried out the underquilt yet, but hope to when it warms up a bit (above 32F). The underquilt has been nice and toasty warm in my in house trials. It seems just big enough, although I would like to be able to sleep crossways more. Maybe it can be set up for cross ways sleeping.
My project this year is to build a camo hammock with no sewing. I spent lots of time sewing up stuff last year and kind of came to the conclusion that a simpler design would have done what I want it to just as well as the complimicated design. I also increased the size of the hammock because I am not so much into ultralight as comfort. This 4 yard hammock is much more comfortable than the smaller ultralight attempts, mainly because it is a full 60" in width and the length seems to make it easier to move around in.
