New hanger in south east pa

Hey just wanted to say hi. Just took the plunge and bought a ENO dn and have yet to set it up. The weather here went crappy the day it arrived. I'll be checking out the forums some more looking for any tips tricks and useful info I can find. If anyone has any advise for a 6'2" 300lb guy getting into hammock camping feel free to drop me a line or directing me to any useful threads.

For tarps and quilts to keep warm and dry, talk to Paul or sr1355 at Underground Quilts:

I'm sure you'll get further leads and advice here. Welcome and Happy Hanging!!
You might also search for nearby hanging events to hobnob with hangers, a GREAT way to learn!

Here. Under forums, look for Hangouts and select Northeast.

Welcome from Denver! A great entry is Derek's book the Ultimate Hang. It's cheap in soft cover or available on tablets. This forum is great but that book is a perfect primer with info all in the same place.

Welcome from your area. I am fairly new to hanging and have got myself fairly well outfitted. I opted for the hammock for my week at scout camp last summer. I started with a ENO DN, but recently moved to a DIY gathered end. I think that you may want to move to a longer hammock (the DN is relatively short). +1 on the Ultimate Hang book and keep looking around the forums, there's good stuff everywhere
