    Ground Pounding DIY Tarp

I know this isn't the right forum, but I was so excited about it I wanted to share it with my friends here too. My dear sweet 69-year-old mother sewed this for me. We cut the fabric yesterday and did all the sewing today. Total time was 8 hours start to finish. I'll use this to teach my Boy Scouts about Ultra-light tarp shelters.

It's the Silnylon kit from Quest Outfitters. $58.55 for all the materials including the polyester thread and guy lines. This was my second order from them and I'm very impressed (also love DIYgearsupply.com)

Looks nice. I'm sure it would still work over a short hammock.

Sweet. I just got the raw materials in today from DIYGear to start my own tarp.
