Twin needle on a home machine is for decorative purposes. There is still only one bobbin thread so the double needle seam is not particularly strong. You need two spool holders and two tension plates. Other than that it is fairly simply. Thread the machine twice making sure you keep the threads from tangling and sew as usual. But don't expect strength. Cause you are not likely to get it.

Because its pretty!!! I have some quilts with double row stitching in designs to hold the middle layers in place... Looks beautiful, although with the age of these quilts, I'm pretty sure its entirely hand done by my wifes great grandma!!!!

Yep, she'll regret that decision... There are times my wife goes to bed on a Friday night, and I'm up past 2AM trying to finish the latest project!
