For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us....that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.
This is a video walk through of my attempt to make the down under quilt described by Grizz. http://youtu.be/_o6qcO43x2k So Dutch, here's your video, sorry it took so long.
The original spread sheet is posted here & I've backed it up & added my dimensions beside Grizz's & posted it here (the original was marked as in the owners trash & I was afraid others might lose access to it)
Below are the dimensions I used on the project
# of baffles 6
Baffle Height 3"
Finished length 68"
Finished head width 38"
Finished Foot Width 30"
Thanks Grizz for the clear explanations.
Mine kept me warm down to high 30's with sleeping bag for a TQ. I didn't actually sleep well but I rarely sleep well on anything that's not my bed at home. Next BSA camp out is less than a month away. Looking forward to it.
I've made corrections to the Bridge Trapazoid UQ Spreadsheet. Specifically the outer shell dimensions would have been too narrow if you had more than 6 spaces (5 baffles).
@wwk10 Thanks for catching the error. PM sent.
I also added a note that filling the 2 side chambers with the full amount of down may be a good idea. GrizzlyAdams & I both used 75% in the side chambers but in my case at least that leaves 2-3 inches at the tops of the sides with no insulation. This is possibly due to overrated down, its allegedly 700 fill but I've got my doubts.
Thanks for the spread sheet! So, have both links been corrected, ? (which spread sheet do I use?)
