Yep, I made mine the proper width, sealed with duct tape. I cut the back longer, so I could pull a flap over and seal it. It secures with a piece of elastic around the top that I taped to the flap. Duct tape holds really well to Tyvek.

I use a piece of pipe insulation to stuff the stakes into and then into a ripstop baggie. Carry it outside the pack.

in the shoe, rubber band keeps quiet

Stakes come out of the shoe about the same time as the tarp gets staked down. Only need two.

Got the same shoes, luv em. I've carried one of THESE for several years and store the stakes under a little loop that is present at the "seam" end. No little stuff sacks for me, it all gets organized in this thing.

I put mine in the bottom of my Hennessey hammock sack, I find the weight of the pegs helps stop the sack blowing away when I take the hammock out in its snakeskins and string it up as I usually have both hands on the hammock at that time. When I peg out I have hands free to stow the empty sack safely.

The bag my ENO slap straps came in is perfect size for my groundhog stakes. I've gone Whoopie so I don't need the straps anymore.

I put them in a gallon size zip lock bag. I call it my "possibles bag". As I keep stuff that I could possibly need. Fire starter, extra knife, knife sharpener, plastic clips, long handled spoon, paracord, a small first aid kit.........RR

Genius. Duct tape to the rescue.

In my tarp skin. I got a pair from MountainGoat. There are pockets sewn into each end of the skin that are just big enough to handle the 4 stakes I carry and the line. They generally don't get used though. I use sticks whenever possible. Dirt is yucky in a bag.
