I tied some zing-it to my garage door supports and hooked a dutch hook in the middle. I am +/- 200 lbs, depending on what my wife cooks for dinner. I can pull myself up on it. I added 50lbs in weights and the zing-it broke. the hook looked ok. Curious to see what Dutch comes up with at the testing grounds.

OK...so I'll throw up a word or two here, also...I just got my first tarp hooks today. OK, so AVG Strength for 1.75mm Zing-It is 400lbs. Lets assume that the Elf's Zing-it was worn a bit and broke at 275 lbs. If the hook did not even bend, I think a safe assumption is that the hook has a MINIMUM breaking strength of 300 lbs. I have 3 tarps that are light weight or UL. None of those tarps could take a 300 lb load on edge( the direction that the hook pulls).
I am amazed at that when I hold this little doohickey in my hand!

Awesome Dutch. I look forward to your findings.

That is very impressive. If you wouldn't mind, I would just love to test a few products for you.
I would be able to give you ratings for your quilt hooks(need to pull my motor out), tarp flyz(my friend has a bent frame we need to straighten), Whoopie hooks(those fallen trees need to be gathered, lifted and dragged out), and Dutch clips(great for using on chains for the backhoe, bridge building you know).
