Guys (& gals) You could try putting the sewing machine on a higher table (or sitting in a lower chair). I find that having the needle right in front of my nose makes it easier to see and far less "hunching over".

I have a hydraulic chair and always set it at the highest level because I'm tall. Then hunch over to get back down to the machine. Ouch!

Looks toasty warm. Yeah I find it best to do quilts over a week full of nights. Too much time hunched over the sewing machine makes my back stiff, of course this is the perfect excuse to go sleep outside in the hammock.

I wish I could spread projects out that long, but as my wife would agree, once I start something, I am obsessed until it is finished

Got it all finished up. Total length ended up 73x48. I have a drawcord bottom and snaps for the foot box. Has about 2.5 - 3" of loft. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I do have a question. I can see where all my down is since the gray is so light and it looks like there are some thinner spots and thicker. Should I be worried about that? Here's the pics

That looks fantastic! Well done. I don't think the thin/thick spots should be much of a concern unless there are large gaps with no down at all.

Put it in the dryer, with NO HEAT, along with a few clean tennis balls. That should even out the down and fluff it up.
