Where do I find a good Pea Pod system that won't cost a fortune?

Hi guys. I'm fairly new to hammocking and I was intrigued by a pea pod. It makes sense, I mean, it's a top quilt and a bottom quilt. I'm looking into making one, but I'd definitely be interested in a reasonably priced pod. Thanks for your help!

Posting in the 'Want To Buy' section might help more. Plus, scanning the for sale thread, they don't come up often but you could get lucky. Also, once you price 2 quilts (top and bottom), your looking at around the same price generally speaking.

Check out this post http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=63745 Divab came up with a clever, low cost solution to your question---I would think it would be pretty easy to adapt this idea to what ever size/weight sleeping bags you choose to use!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

If you have a fairly large sleeping bag with a separate zipper along the bottom edge, you could make your own peapod system with that.

Shug has a video on it.

Good news is, they are available for cheap at a thrift store near you.
Thrift stores are a DIYer's best resource for 'practice' materials.
